Payyavoor: A seminar on organic farming have been organised by Malabar Social Service Society at St. Anne’s parish hall, Payyavoor on 29th January, 2016. The purpose of this Seminar was to inculcate the need and importance of organic farming practices to the farmers. Smt. Daisy Chittooparambil, President of Payyavoor Panchayath has presided over the inaugural session and the program was inaugurated by Mar Joseph Pandarasseril (Auxiliary Bishop of Archdiocese of Kottayam) in the auspicious presence of Fr. Abraham Parambettu (Director of Barumariam pastoral centre), Fr. Sunil Perumanoor (Secretary, MASSS), Shri. Purushothaman R (Sub-Inspector of Police- Payyavoor), Shri. Balachandran (Agricultural Officer, Payyavoor), Sr. Annamma Thonnamkuzhi (Director, PCDP), and Smt. Susha Benny (Ward member, Payyavoor Panchayath). After the inaugural session there had two theoretical sessions on organic farming, Shri. Surendran S (Agricultural Officer, Sreekandapuram) and Shri. P A Jose (Programe Officer, WSSS) were handled the sessions.
